About the project

This design presents the integration of cymatics, the study of visible sound and vibration patterns into the design process, focusing on its application to speaker design. 

Incorporating vibration patterns not only adds a visually appealing element, but also offers potential means of enhancing the auditory experience. 

The inspiration

In the design process for this project I start by finding inspiration from nature, cymatics and sound waves. A key part is drawing ideas from the magical patterns created by sound waves, exploring different materials. 

 I'm setting out guidelines for creating an extraordinary audio-visual experience where users will be able to witness sound through dynamic patterns on water.
